ChatGPT connector

Add Bruce as a custom MCP connector in ChatGPT. ChatGPT discovers OAuth via https://mcp.bruce.money/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource and sends users to Bruce to sign in and approve scopes.

Setup in ChatGPT

1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors (or Developer mode → Add MCP server).
2. Server URL: https://mcp.bruce.money/mcp
3. Authentication: OAuth (ChatGPT registers via POST https://api.bruce.money/api/oauth/register automatically).
4. When prompted, sign in at Bruce and choose your personal or business organization.
5. On the consent screen, tap ChatGPT / Cursor to select recommended scopes, then approve.

New to Bruce? Create an account at bruce.money/login, finish wallet setup in the app, then repeat the connector flow.

What you can ask

• “What’s my Bruce balance?” → bruce_wallet_summary
• “Show recent payments as a table” → bruce_list_transactions
• “How much did I send vs receive this month?” → bruce_spending_summary
• “Any overdue invoices?” → bruce_list_overdue_invoices
• “Request $50 to @vendor for supplies” → bruce_request_payment_approval (owner approves in the Bruce app)

The server returns JSON; ChatGPT should format money answers as markdown tables (Mercury-style). Instant sends require explicit confirmation and agent policy.

wallet:read, transactions:read, invoices:read, checkout:read, plus agent scopes if you use delegated agent keys. Full catalog: MCP tools.

Tokens

OAuth access tokens expire in eight hours. ChatGPT should refresh with the refresh_token grant at POST https://api.bruce.money/api/oauth/token. If refresh fails, reconnect the connector.

OpenAI must still verify the publisher and approve the listing. Until then, add the custom MCP server in Settings → Connectors using the steps above.
