Ask Bruce
Ask Bruce is the assistant inside the Bruce app (web at bruce.money/ask and the mobile app). It answers questions about your own account and prepares payment drafts. It is not an MCP server and it does not hold an API key.
Account questions
Ask in everyday language about your balance, spending, recent payments, who you paid the most, who paid you the most, pending payment requests, and unpaid invoices. Figures come from your account. Ask Bruce does not guess amounts.
Drafts, then you confirm
Ask Bruce can prepare a card to send money, request money, split a bill, schedule a payment, create an escrow, pay a request, or pay an invoice. Nothing moves until you review the card and confirm it with the same PIN (or passkey) as the rest of the app.
- A draft can be confirmed for 15 minutes. After that it expires and you ask again.
- A confirmed draft stays read-only, so the same card cannot be confirmed twice.
- Drafts stop at the equivalent of US$10,000. Amounts of US$500 or more show an extra warning.
- A split can include up to 10 people. The amount is the total; the other people are the recipients.
Deleting a chat does not cancel a payment you already confirmed. Terms: Ask Bruce Terms.
